Falling down the well

Yeah, okay, so it's been a while.  But I just read this piece that got me really inspired...the author was talking about writing that vibrated, that gave off a "buzzzzz" that he could feel, that compelled him to read it.

He said it was Agatha Christie's writing, and it had something electric about it, an energy that pulled him and and made him read, even though he wasn't a fiction reader.

So his name is Matt Furey, and he writes advertising copy and gives seminars on making lots of money as an advertising copywriter. He writes with that same buzz, that energy--and he says he can teach others to do it too. I wish I could take his two-day seminar.

I would love to write like that, just sit down and dash off perfect stories without having to think twice. "Falling down the well," as Julia Cameron calls it, or "zero resistance writing" as he calls it. But how?

It's something to do with being a conduit, a channel. That much I can feel. I know when I'm reading stuff like that--you can feel the energy.  The question is, how do you learn to do that?

That's what I really want to know.
