Love at First Sight

Do you believe in Love at First Sight? Can a person just look at a stranger, and somehow know immediately that they are destined for each other?

I've heard of a number of couples who say it's happened to them.

The mother of a college friend of mine said that she saw her future husband (my friend's dad) for the first time at a football game. She immediately turned to the girl with her and said, "That's the man I'm going to marry." And she did.

Another gal I know said it was love at first sight for her when she saw her husband-to-be. She saw this cute guy in her office building, and when she got a chance to talk to him at a building-wide cocktail party, she swept him off his feet. (She's not the kind of person who lets the grass grow under her feet, you see.)

The next morning, she sat up in bed and told him in a conversational tone, "I am going to marry you, you know."

And he swears that the first thought that crossed his mind was, "Then I guess I'd better break up with my girlfriend."

Now that's a guy who recognizes a force majeure when he meets one, and she certainly qualifies as that.
